If you’re attempting to perform maintenance or replace parts in a toilet cistern, here’s a summarized version of the steps you mentioned:
Remove Buttons:
Push down one button of the half-moon buttons.
Use a screwdriver or knife to lift the lip of the other button and remove it with the rod.
Repeat for the second button.
Remove Bezel:
Locate and unscrew the screw below the buttons using a large flat screwdriver.
Once the screw is removed, the bezel should come out of the top of the cistern. (Please do not remove the cistern lid before the screw is removed)
Remove Bridge:
After removing the cistern lid, locate the bridge with the central hole.
Push in the two little buttons on each side of the main unit simultaneously and pull up to remove the bridge.
Split the Valve:
Press in the two tabs near the bottom of the unit and pull up to split the valve.
Optional Adjustments:
Adjust the half-float position in the new unit if necessary.
The water supply need to turn off before replace.
